* 1 cup water
* 1 pound potatoes, peeled and cubed
* 1 cup frozen peas

Instructions:

1. Heat the oil in a large pot or wok over medium-high heat. Add the cumin seeds, coriander seeds, and fennel seeds. Cook for 1 minute, or until the seeds are fragrant.
2. Add the onion and cook for 5 minutes, or until softened. Add the garlic and ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1 minute more.
3. Add the lamb or goat meat and cook for 5 minutes, or until browned on all sides.
4. Add the red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Cook for 1 minute more.
5. Add the water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through.
6. Add the potatoes and peas and cook for 10 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
7. Serve with rice or naan.

Tips:

* To make the dish more flavorful, marinate the meat in a mixture of yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
* If you don't have time to marinate the meat, you can still make a delicious Aloo Matar Gosht. Just skip the marinating step and cook the meat according to the directions in the recipe.
* You can also use boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts in place of lamb or goat meat. Just cook the chicken for 10-12 minutes, or until cooked through.
* If you don't have any frozen peas, you can use fresh peas instead. Just cook them for 5-7 minutes, or until tender.
