Next-gen 2024 Toyota Prado expected with a Hybrid option

The Land Cruiser nameplate is one of the most celebrated and iconic ones in the history of the automobile. While the full-size Cruiser has been iterated to the impressive ‘300’ model, the Prado is still missing an upgrade. However, media reports suggest that an all-new avatar of this remarkable 4x4 is in the pipeline, with a more efficient and eco-friendly hybrid system as a source of power.

As per a TFLCar report, the next-generation Land Cruiser Prado is expected to come to the U.S. with a turbocharged four-cylinder gas engine with electric-motor assistance, as a 2024 model. The SUV will still likely be body-on-frame, but should now be based on Toyota’s TNGA modular platform. While there is no official confirmation yet, the all-new Prado could sport a starting price tag of around USD 55,000-60,000 in the U.S. market.
