New Boat Safety Law about
New Boat Safety Law about engine cut off switches, boat kill switches or ECOS devices. April 1, 2021 the US Coast Guard announced a law to improve boater safety requiring an engine cut off switch to be used on recreational boats 26 feet in length and shorter. This video discusses the basics of this new law regarding the use of kill switch lanyards, how engine cut off switch devices work and why boat safety is important. A marine engine cut off switch could save your life someday! If you need a new marine engine cutoff lanyard, they can be purchased at marine supply shops or on Amazon - I have provided a link below.
