Today I am sharing 2 very tasty
breakfast and tiffin recipes
using pumpkin.
These are pumpkin puri
and pumpkin paratha.
or kaddu puri and kaddu paratha.
In marathi it is known as
lal bhoplachi puri and lal bhopla
Dashmi.

In marathi pumpkin is known
with different mames such
as Gangafal,tambda bhopla,
lal bhopla,kashifal,dangar..etc

Try these recipes..

Ingredients:

. 250 gms pumpkin

. 2 cup wheat flour

. 1/2 cup chick pea flour

. 1/2 tbsp kasuri methi
 (Dry fenugreek leaves)

. oil

. chopped coriander leaves

. salt

. green chilly paste

. 1/2 tbsp sesame seeds

. 1/2 tsp cumin powder

. 1/4 tsp carom seeds

. red chilly powder

. turmeric powder


Method:

.Cut pumpkin in pieces
and remove outer skin.

. Transfer in pot and place
it in pressure cooker.

. Allow to pressure cook for
3 whistle on medium flame.

. Transfer cooked pumpkin
in big plate.

. Mash it properly  and
allow to cool completely.

. Add sesame seeds,carom seeds
cumin powder,red chilly powder,
turmeric powder,green chilly paste,
kasuri methi,chopped coriander,salt
and mix it properly.

. Add wheat flour and chick pea
flour and knead a medium hard dough
without adding water.

(quantity of wheat flour may vary
as per wetness of cooked pumpkin)

. For puri,take little portion
of dough and grease little oil
to it.

. Roll it little thicker.

. Deep fry this puri in hot
oil from both sides on medium
flame.

. Transfer on kitchen paper.

. Puri is ready,serve with curd
sauce,pickle..

For Paratha/dashmi

. Take some portion of
dough and round it.

. Flatten it with palms and
coat wheat flour.

. Roll it in small round shape.

. Grease oil and sprinkle
wheat flour on it.

. Fold it to form half circle
shape.

. Again grease little oil
to half circle and sprinkle
wheat flour and fold it
to form quarter shape.

. Seal edges properly.

. Sprinkle wheat flour
and roll it little thicker
than regular chapati.

. Transfer it on hot tawa.

. Allow to roast from both
sides on medium flame
by adding little oil.

. when brown spots will
appears on it transfer in serving
plate.

. Enjoy paratha/dashmi with
thecha,chutney,curd,pickle.

. It is good option for travelling
tiffin also.
