Sorry, I had to change the audio track, as the Audio from GMR's promotional video was copyrighted so changed that with Copyright-free music.

On May 6, 2022 my ‪@AirVistara‬ flight UK638 from DEL to DED had a runway 9 take-off from Delhi airport, which that in itself is unusual, the takeoff afforded me a great view of the reconstruction project underway on ‪@delhiairport‬ Terminal 1. This is part of Delhi Airport's Phase 3A of reconstruction and includes a massive new T1 - growing from 60,000 sqm to 169,000 sqm, and unlike the old T1 will hav e contact gates - 22 of them. The number of contact and remote stands will grow to 82 from 55 in the old T1, also thanks to the private jet parking moving to the southern runways. With the eastern cross taxiways, aircraft from T1 that will primarily be used by ‪@IndiGo6E‬ ‪@GoFirst‬  and ‪@flyspicejet‬ can easily access the southern runways.
The work seems to be going well and the inauguration by late-2023 should be a reality. Well done to Delhi Airport and L&T Construction for the work. Although the airport terminal layout does remind me a lot of Terminal 1 at Barcelona El-Prat Airport.
