Scylla’s line referring to her and Scuba being connected with a red thread of destiny, is the same as referring to a couple that is destined to be soul mates!
Bighorn mentions that Scylla might end up becoming ika sōmen (烏賊素麺) which is literally squid noodles. Contrary to the name, ika sōmen is a type of sashimi made from raw squid, and cut into fine strips, vaguely resembling sōmen type noodles. They are typically served with grated ginger and soy sauce or a soy sauce-based mentsuyu sauce.
