In a sudden but urgent
In a sudden but urgent event, I quickly made my way to Lynch 3 after receiving a phone call that 2 locomotives were on the ground! A train bound for US Steel was in its runaround process at Lynch 3 when a broken rail completely derailed the lead unit and partially derailed the trailing unit. RJ Corman had a quick response and had both engines back on track by nightfall, all of which you can see in this video!
Though the incident was unfortunate, it still made for a fantastic learning opportunity and gave me the chance to bring the actions and consequences of these type of events to you!
