This 40-year-old eatery’s unkempt, garage shed sort of appearance, in sharp contrast to the well-kept decor of restaurants on the Goa tourist trail, may leave the first time visitor a bit perplexed, but I was told that when it comes to the local’s preferred haunt for fresh seafood, Sharada Bar & Restaurant, now named Gopal Bar after the owner’s demise a year ago, stands tall. And so I discovered during my visit here, incidentally I was the only tourist on the premises, over a delicious lunch of drumstick prawn curry, clams, mussels, oysters and chonak masala fry.
