The enhancement type MOSFET is similar to the Depletion-type MOSFET. It has three terminals (Drain, Gate, and Source) But there is no conducting path/channel between the drain and the source terminal. But by applying the control voltage between the gate and the source terminal, the channel is formed between the drain and the source terminal. The required voltage to form this channel is known as the threshold voltage. And once the channel is formed then by applying the voltage Vds, current can flow through the device. So, when there is no control voltage, then Enhancement MOSFET remains OFF. And once the channel if formed then as voltage Vds increases, the current Id also increases. But at particular voltage Vds (sat), the drain current Id gets saturated. And it happens when the pinch-off condition occurs. In the video, the pinch-off condition is explained in detail. Different Regions of Operation: The MOSFET can be operated in three regions. 1) Saturation or Active Region 2) Linear or Ohmic Region 3) Cut-off Region The link for the other useful videos related to FET: 1) Introduction to Field Effect Transistor https://www.seevid.ir/fa/w/cOICDYuY-gA 2) JFET Construction and Working Explained https://www.seevid.ir/fa/w/2I_8YNVgbEw 3) JFET Transfer Characteristics https://www.seevid.ir/fa/w/h9WlHNVHZ84 4) Depletion-Type MOSFET https://www.seevid.ir/fa/w/XqGBNyhImV4 This video will be helpful to all the students of science and engineering in understanding the construction and working of Enhancement MOSFET.
