What to do with clematis when they are done flowering

When your Clematis are done blooming you can trim off the spent blooms or you can leave them. I choose to trim my clematis back to 12" and let it reflush out giving me blooms again in the fall. Some people may choose to just trim the spent blooms off and some may leave them on. No way is the right or wrong way, it is a preference.
