How to write a research paper in 4 steps with example
Step 1: Introduction
What has been known?
e.g. Powered limb prosthesis has been developed for many years. Researchers focus on electrical powered prosthesis leg.
Why is your topic important?
e.g. Many physical disabled people in U.S. and the number is increasing each year
What is your idea?
e.g. Charging time for electrical powered prosthesis is very long. Chemical powered prosthesis could be refilled in seconds and has higher power density
Step 2: Method/Design
e.g. Show a picture of the design of the robotic leg
e.g. Write down the equation of the mechanism
e.g. Write down the chemical reaction equations
e.g. Calculate the power that can be generate will be able support people walking

Experiment
e.g. Show the picture of the finished chemical robotic leg
e.g. Write down how you tested the leg (e.g. wore on physical disable people and they used the leg to walk)
Step 3: Result
Data analysis/comparison
e.g. Plot experiment data
Compare data of using chemical leg with normal human walking data
Step 4: Conclusion
What did you find in this research?
e.g. Chemical leg can help physically disabled people walk. The power of the leg does last longer
What do you think to do next to improve the research?
e.g. Use other chemical may have higher power density and may last longer. The leg could be redesigned to improve the function
