How to adjust your 2nd monitor from left to right in Windows 10 - is what we look at in this video. This video also helps if you're looking at how to adjust a 2nd monitor from right to left.  Our video covers how to change Windows 10 display settings to enable you to virtually move your second external monitor from left to right  - this enables you to keep your monitor to the right and your laptop to the left as shown in video. No cabling changes are needed.  We guide you through the tutorial, step by step. It also works the other way where you can adjust 2nd Monitor from Right to Left.

A Lenovo Ideapad & JVC monitor were used in producing this video.

If your computer/PC screens are not set up correctly, it can make your workflow feel really awkward and can impact your productivity.

It is often asked - how do I change the side of my extended monitor?

I had this issue a few years back when I was setting up an external monitor - it was not set up correctly. So I made a few simple changes and it actually made a big difference in terms of my workflow and my productivity. So just wanted to share this video with you today.

One of the biggest issues when the screens/monitors aren't set up correctly, in terms of their flow, from left to right (right to left) is, for example, the mouse and the pointer. You can't go on to the other screen logically anywhere along the right hand edge of the laptop monitor screen as shown in the video. In fact, some people on my channel have commented that they cannot get the mouse onto their other PC/computer 2nd external screen. This is normally to do with the set up of the displays. We show you how to fix the mouse cursor in a dual monitor setup to enable the smooth and logical flow across both monitors.  As shown in the video, any windows that we open on the laptop and then want to move on to the other 2nd screen (JVC Monitor) we have to move off the left of the laptop screen to get onto the external monitor which comes through on the right hand side of the second monitor screen -  from a workflow and productivity point of view, it's a nightmare!

So in order to rectify the issue, we have to adjust the second monitor from left to right in Windows 10 - as demonstrated in the video:-

1. Right click anywhere on desktop
2. Select 'Display Settings' from list
In our case - when the display page opens, it shows the Lenovo Ideapad 320s PC/Computer as the main monitor and monitor 1.  The external JVC monitor/display, monitor 2, is shown as being set on the left hand side, in terms of screen set up, which is why it's causing an issue in terms of the workflow across the screens. This can be easily rectified
4. Right click and hold on the monitor that you wish to rearrange your display for.  In our case, monitor 2.  The relevant monitor will be highlighted  - shown as blue in the video
5. Still holding the mouse button down, drag the monitor to the right hand side of monitor 1 as shown in video (or to left side if your set up is opposite to what were showing and the external monitor is on the left side)
6. Select apply to implement and save the changes.

Once the monitor has been adjusted from left to right, the workflow across screens and productivity is likely to be much improved. Using the screens together now feels more natural. It also makes moving open applications / windows between screens much better when multiple displays are extended.
