Given that Netflix makes it difficult to do anything other than pay for your subscription with a credit or debit card that automatically pays for your subscription on a monthly basis, it can be easy to forget to update the credit or debit card associated with your Netflix account whenever you get a new one. However, updating the credit or debit card associated with your Netflix account can be done through the Netflix website in a matter of minutes.
And now, let's walk through the steps to update the credit or debit card associated with your Netflix account.
Step 1. Open your Web browser, navigate to Netflix.com, and then log in to your account. You'll arrive at the home screen associated with your Netflix account.
Step 2. Click the icon in the upper right corner of the screen that's associated with your profile. A drop-down menu appears.
Step 3. Click "Account." Your Netflix Account screen will be displayed.
Step 4. Scroll down to the Membership & B illing section, and then click "Update Payment Info" to the right of your current credit card information. The Update Your Credit or Debit Card screen appears.
Step 5. Scroll down, and update the information on the screen to be associated with the new credit card you want to associate with your Netflix account. The fields you'll need to check are the first name and last name, billing ZIP code, card number, card expiration date, and card security code. After updating this information, click the red "Save" button at the bottom of the window. A spinning wheel will appear on the screen briefly, before you're redirected back to the Account screen. A message in a green box will appear toward the top of the Account window, informing you that the payment method associated with your Netflix account has been updated. Additionally, you'll also receive an email from [email protected] informing you that your Netflix payment information has been changed.
