Maybe the email address associated with your Netflix account got hacked. Or maybe you're shutting down that email address and you want to switch to a new one. Regardless the reason, Netflix makes it possible for you to change the email address associated with your account. However, you can only do this through the desktop version of the Netflix website, and you can't change your Netflix email address through the mobile app or on other platforms.

Now let's walk through the steps to change your Netflix email address.

Step 1. Open your web browser, navigate to Netflix.com, and then log into your account. You'll land on your Netflix home screen.

Step 2. Click the drop-down arrow located to the right of the profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen. A menu appears. Click "Account" in the menu. The Account screen appears.

Step 3. Click "Change Email" in the Membership and Billing section. The Change Email screen appears.

Step 4. Enter the new email address you want to be associated with your Netflix account in the New Email field, and then enter your Netflix account password in the Current Password field. Click the "Save" button after entering your information. You'll be returned to the Account screen where you'll see a message along the top of this screen notifying you that your Netflix email address has been changed. Additionally, you'll see your new email address in the Membership and Billing section.
