Commissioning Ceremony of 2nd Yasen-M Class Nuclear Submarine(SSGN) by Russian Navy's Northern Fleet
The Navy currently operates the Severodvinsk SSGN of the basic #project885. It operates in the Northern fleet. The #Kazan will also join the Northern fleet. The Novosibirsk SSGN was floated in December 2019 and will operate in the Pacific fleet, which it has to join in late 2021.
Sevmash is building the Krasnoyarsk, the Arkhangelsk, the Perm, the Ulyanovsk, the Voronezh, and the Vladivostok SSGN of project 885M. The Krasnoyarsk is to be floated in August 2021.
The series of eight project 885M SSGN is to be completed in 2028 with the Vladivostok sub.
