In today's video, we are going to talk about the Boeing 737 Flaps extension sequence.
You will see what must be checked before extending the Flaps.
First of all, know your aircraft flap maximum extension speeds.
Never extend the flaps when the IAS is above the maximum allowed.
Take some good margins, especially when you are experiencing some turbulence.
You will notice on the Airspeed indicator on the PFD of the Boeing 737 that there are small green numbers.
This is the Minimum flap Maneuvrening Speed, you can slow down to that speed however you cannot fly slower than the Flap Minimum Maneuvering.
If you need to slow down farther, extend the flap, this will increase the Coefficient of Lift of your wing and will reduce the Stall speed.
So, mainly you need to check the Maximum Flap Extension Speed and the Minimum Maneuvering Speed.
