Episode 11 of Fargo (FX) season 4 brings the conflict to a close in Kansas City. Loy Cannon (Chris Rock) goes to make a deal with Ebal Volante (Francesco Acquaroli) to end the war now that he’s got Donatello Fadda’s ring. Loy convinces Ebal that Josto Fadda (Jason Schwartzman) conspired with Oraetta Mayflower (Jessie Buckley) to take over the Fadda family.

In the season finale Josto hasn’t gotten over losing his brother Gaetano. While Cannon is taking care of Happy and Leon, Volante accuses Josto of crimes against the family after bailing Oraetta out of jail. She tells the Faddas that Josto asked her to kill Donatello at the hospital. He tries to convince the family that she misunderstood him, but New York has already approved Ebal’s move. Oraetta and Josto are both executed by Joe Bulo.

Episode 11 sees Loy end the war after receiving the ring from Ethelrida Smutny (E’myri Crutchfield). In exchange he returns the King of Tears Mortuary back to the Smutnys, and Ethelrida ends the episode by delivering the conclusion to her history report. She leaves at the end and travels to Paris to become a writer.

In the end the Fadda family doesn’t honor it’s deal with the Cannon’s. They have the backing of a national syndicate, and Loy knows he can’t do anything about it. After his son Satchel returns, making his family whole again, he seems to come to peace with his situation. Zelmare Roulette returns to get revenge for her partner Swanee Capps. She kills Loy, and we see that Satchell will grow up to be Mike Milligan from Fargo season 2.

The fourth season of Fargo, an American anthology black comedy–crime drama television series created by Noah Hawley, premiered on September 27, 2020, on FX, and will consist of 11 episodes. The season was originally scheduled to premiere on April 19, 2020, but this was postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
As an anthology, each Fargo season possesses its own self-contained narrative, following a disparate set of characters in various settings and eras, albeit in a connected shared universe centered around the Midwestern United States and the titular city of Fargo, North Dakota. The fourth season is set in 1950 in Kansas City and the story follows two crime syndicates as they vie for control. The cast is led by Chris Rock, who plays Loy Cannon, the head of a crime syndicate made up of black migrants fleeing the Jim Crow South who have a contentious relationship with the Kansas City mafia. Other cast members include Jessie Buckley, Jack Huston, Jason Schwartzman, Ben Whishaw, and Timothy Olyphant.
