From Presbyterian to Catholic: Spencer's Conversion Story (Christian Testimony)

Spencer grew up Presbyterian, and gradually became more and more interested in exploring his faith. In college he met several Catholics who became close friends, including his now wife. As he dove further into the Presbyterian faith, he gained a deeper understanding of church history and began to appreciate the richness of the Catholic faith. In grad school, he remarked that it would take an act of God to become Catholic. A few months later, he began attending mass. Soon after, he bought a rosary and a catechism and joined RCIA. He joined the Catholic Church in 2019.

In our conversation, we talked about Sola Scriptura, the freedom of knowing that the Church is a trustworthy teacher, and how Protestants and Catholics often talk past each other, rather than recognizing what they have in common.
