Unity has some great features
Unity has some great features to improve performance for VR games.
This video will go through all the easy performance improvements. Anyone can follow along, even if you cannot code or don't know the technical details (explanation below).
I cover both Desktop (Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Valve Index, Windows Mixed Reality) and Android (Oculus Quest). Oculus Quest has more information because there are more optimizations in Unity for it.
This guide applies in the Built-in Render Pipeline, Universal Render Pipeline (URP), High Dynamic Render Pipeline (HDRP), and on all Unity releases (2019 LTS, 2020 LTS, 2021.2, 2022.1).

Multi Pass: Rendering a frame one eye after the other
Single Pass/Multiview: Rendering a frame 2 eyes at once (Good CPU improvement, slight GPU improvement)
FFR (Fixed Foveated Rendering): Renders corners of the screen at a lower resolution to improve performance
