Chinese Vegetable With Shrimp Paste.  Traditional Chinese Vegetable called "tong ho".  Fast and easy recipe using fermented shrimp paste for delicious flavor.   You can omit the shrimp paste if you like.  Substitute other flavors, such as "fooyi", which is fermented bean curd.  Other Chinese vegetables can be cooked this way.  It's simple and delicious way to cook vegetables.

Recipe is below:

CHINESE VEGETABLES WITH SHRIMP PASTE

1 lb. or 1 bag of "tong ho" Chinese vegetables
1 teaspoon cooking oil
1 teaspoon chopped garlic
1 teaspoon chopped ginger
1 tablespoon shrimp paste

Wash tong ho Chinese vegetables in cold water.  Because the vegetables are wet, you do not need to add water for this recipe.

Preheat cooking pot to medium heat.  Add cooking oil, garlic, ginger and shrimp paste.  Add tong ho Chinese vegetables.  Cover pot and cook for 5 minutes.  Stir vegetables and cover again for 2 to 5 minutes, depending on how tender you want vegetables cooked.  Stir vegetables 1 last time and serve in a plate or bowl.  Enjoy!
