I'm glad to introduce songpyeon, the traditional food of Korea.
Songpyeon is usually eaten in Chuseok by Koreans.
The reason we eat this is to thank the year's harvest and because it has been the rice cake. we dedicated to our ancestors.

For those who are not confident in making songpyeon, I prepared flower songpyeon that can make it pretty and simple. Sweetness and savor spread in your mouth as if you were putting a pretty flower in your mouth, making you laugh. Add sesame sauce without likes or dislikes to the cute songpyeon. They say the taste they know is the scariest.

Rice cakes with sugar often burst when made at home, so tips were added to prevent them from bursting. Even if it's not Chuseok, it's fun to make it into a refreshment.

[Ingredient]
200g Wet-milled rice flour
25g Sugar
Sugar water(Water 6 : Sugar 1)
25g Fried sesame
5g Fried bean powder
a little bit of sweet pumpkin powder
1g strawberry powder
Sesame oil+oil


[Tool]
Steamer
Cotton cloth
Mousse ring(for leaves)


[Process]
1. Make the inner ingredient with sugar and minced-fried sesame.
2. Boil water, add sugar, and make dough.
3. Divide the prepared rice flour in half and mix it with strawberry powder to give color.
4. Knead all with hot water.
* Moisturize dough as osmotic pressure removes moisture.

5. Remove a handful and dip it into a garnish frame to make petals. (24 to 26)
*Make it with your hands, although it's annoying, it's more natural and pretty.

6. Rolling the right amount of dough in circle, dig a hole and put
the inner ingredients in it.
7. Put petals on top and dip them in the middle with a chopstick or a marzipan.
8. Steam water for 15 minutes when it boils.
9. Mix sesame oil and cooking oil 1:1 and apply.
*Prevent rice cakes from sticking together and slow down aging.
10. Cool it down and eat it. yammy yammy.

It's best to eat rice cake right away on the same day.
It's good to keep the rice cake in the freezer and steam it.
After you steam it, cool it quickly in the freezer when it's warm and heat it up in the microwave.
