HOW TO WIRE A TIMER TO A CONTACTOR

Timers are used to control loads, either to delay supply to the load when a switch is operated(On delay),  or to switch Off the load after a set period of time(Off delay).
when the load to be controlled needs a higher current to operate, the timer must be wired to operate the load through a contactor. in that case, the timer is only required to energize the contactor coil but the load current will be supplied through the contactor terminals. and that is what is demonstrated here in this video.

Two contactors were used; one for the "OFF delay" load(Amber lamp), and the other for the "ON delay" load(Green lamp).
