RN Pola – An Incredibly Unlucky Cruiser

The Zara-class cruisers are an interesting bunch. From Italy's unluckiest cruisers, to their luckiest. I have, previously, covered the lucky ship in Gorizia. Today, we'll be looking at the unluckiest, in Pola. Much like HMS Barham is mostly known for her explosion, Pola is known for one thing. Being torpedoed at Cape Matapan. And, in the process of trying to save her, getting two of her sister ships sunk. Pola did, of course, do more than that. Her career wasn't the most exciting, but the ship did have a good life before Matapan. We'll look at that, in this video.
