The Anderton Boat Lift

The story of the Anderton Boat lift a magnificent structure in Cheshire built in the nineteenth century to transfer boats between river and canal.   Upgraded to electric operation at the beginning of the 20th century.  Rescued from demolition and restored in the 21st century.
