The Battle fought near Brunanburh

A short film about the battle that took place in the year 937, between an invading army of Irish Vikings in alliance with warriors from Scotland, against the men of Wessex and Mercia led by King Athelstan.   This is not a conventional documentary, but telling a story based on the descriptive poem in the Anglo Saxon Chronicle, and the local topography in the vicinity of the village of Bromborough on the Wirral Peninsula in NW England.
