USS St. Lo – First Victim of the Kamikaze

Another example of a warship known for one thing, USS St. Lo is primarily known for her sinking. As the title says, she was the first major warship to sink from an intentional Kamikaze attack. And, for better or worse, that's what she's known for. Not, as it turns out, the majority of her service under the name USS Midway.
