New toyota land cruiser prado 2024 hybrid. The Prado, along with the GX, is showing its age and remains popular despite its older design. The 2024 Land Cruiser, as well as the GX, will undergo a comprehensive re-engineering. Rumors suggest it might be renamed the Land Cruiser 250 in Japan.
The Prado and GX won't offer electric powertrains; they share the TNGA-F platform with the full-size Land Cruiser, Tundra, and Sequoia. The LX and the all-new Tacoma also use this platform. The 2024 Tacoma, known as the N400, offers a 2.4-liter turbo four-cylinder or a hybrid powertrain. While the Prado may get a six-cylinder engine, like the Tundra's 3.4-liter TT V6, it's unlikely to have a V8 option due to the TNGA-F platform's focus on fuel efficiency.
The all-new Prado probably won't be sold in the US market, as Toyota is finalizing the upcoming 4Runner. However, a six-speed manual transmission is likely, with higher-end models featuring eight-speed automatic transmissions. The 250 series is expected to launch in late 2023 and will be manufactured at the Toyota Tahara factory in Japan's Aichi Prefecture, following the footsteps of the Prado, 4Runner, and GX.
