1. Must use Amex Platinum Card
2. Must book hotel via Fine Hotels & Resorts portal or The Hotel Collection portal
3. Reservation must be prepaid (i.e. charged to your card at the time of booking)
4. Statement credit will be issued within 90 days
Note: The statement credit is automatic & does not require enrollment or activation

1. Log into your Amex online account
2. From the Main Menu, select ‘Travel’ and then ‘Book Fine Hotels & Resorts’ or ‘Book The Hotel Collection’
3. Search for your hotel, go through the checkout process, and ensure a prepaid booking is charged to your American Express Platinum Card.
4. Receive an automatic statement credit of up to $200 per calendar year

A: Yes. The credit renews each calendar year, meaning you have from January 01 – December 31 each year to use the credit. Any unused portion will not roll over to the next year.
Q: WHAT IS A PREPAID BOOKING?
A: If you pay in full at the time of booking it is considered a prepaid booking, as opposed to paying a deposit or at the time of hotel stay check-out. A prepaid booking is referred to as “Pay Now” on AmexTravel.com and in the Amex App.
Q: CAN I RECEIVE THE $200 HOTEL CREDIT IF I USE PAY WITH POINTS?
A: Yes, you can receive the $200 Hotel Credit if you use Pay with Points with your eligible U.S. Platinum Card for some or all of your eligible prepaid Fine Hotels + Resorts or The Hotel Collection booking if you have not already earned the credit for the year.
Q: WILL BOOKINGS MADE BY AUTHORIZED USERS WORK?
A: Yes, eligible prepaid Fine Hotels + Resorts and The Hotel Collection bookings made by U.S. Consumer Basic and Additional Platinum Card Members will apply towards the $200 statement credit each year. No more than a total of $200 in statement credits for eligible purchases will be applied across all Platinum Cards on the Account.
