In COMSOL Multiphysics® simulation software, Contour and Isosurface plots are used when postprocessing your simulation results to view scalar quantities and fields. In this video, we show you how to create and edit Contour and Isosurface plots to display your results. To further enhance each plot, we also demonstrate how to add a Surface plot and a filter.
Contour plots are useful for many applications, including heat transfer and acoustics. Isosurface plots are useful for displaying fields such as temperature, chemical species concentration, electric potential, and pressure.
