Often when hamstrings feel tight it’s the hip flexors that are the real culprits - stretching the hip flexors can reposition the pelvis and reduce hamstring tightness


If the knee is bent - the hamstrings are NOT being stretched



Cue client to relax and breathe deeply during stretch
Move leg to first tissue barrier - hold for 20-30 sec
Have client contract muscles for 4-6 sec.
Move to new tissue barrier and repeat
