Battery terminal corrosion is a common problem that can have various causes. Battery corrosion can interrupt the terminal connections which reduces power to the starter. In this video you will learn about what causes battery corrosion and steps to take to prevent this from happening.
If you run across a battery that has corrosion on it causing a hard starting situation... here are a few things to consider trying to rectify that problem to maintain easy starting for your car, truck, tractor, lawn mower, etc..
Cleaning battery corrosion is very simple. Just use warm water and a tooth brush and the corrosion will clean right up. You can also mix some baking soda with the water to make a paste and brush that on to remove the corrosion. I did not cover this step in this video because it is very simple to do.
