The makers officially shared the intriguing teaser of Adah Sharma's "Bastar: The Naxal Story" on Tuesday. Once again, the team behind "The Kerala Story" has united to bring a powerful narrative to the big screen.
The teaser features a one-minute long monologue by Adah's character, IPS Neerja Madhvan. It offers a glimpse into the intense storytelling of the film and hints at the truths to be revealed in "Bastar: The Naxal Story."
In the teaser, Adah exposes the truth about the number of martyrs and sheds light on how pseudo intellectuals in our country are propagating a divisive agenda funded by China. "In the four wars with Pakistan, 8,738 soldiers were martyred. But did you know, the Naxalites in our country have killed more than 1,500 jawans," she reveals. "Bastar is the epicenter of the divide in Bharat. I, Neerja Mathur IPS, have sworn to eradicate these traitors from our country. Jai Hind," she concludes. Sharing the teaser on social media, the makers wrote, "A story painted red with the blood of innocent people! Experience the untold story... Bastar - The Naxal Story."
Directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the film marks the first collaboration between Vipul, Sudipto, and Adah since "The Kerala Story," which was a box office success in 2023. Sudipto expressed, "Our fellow citizens and cinema enthusiasts can expect another compelling film from the team behind 'The Kerala Story.' We've conducted thorough research and crafted the script diligently. I assure you that soon you will witness another impactful film from us, much like 'The Kerala Story'." Vipul added, "We're delighted. 'The Kerala Story' received widespread acclaim, reaching audiences far and wide with the help of the media. The movie is scheduled to release in theaters on March 15, 2024.
