This simple pose strengthens shoulders, arms, hands and fingers. Weight bearing on hands translates to better accuracy in small motor skills like handwriting and more head-to-toe strength for sports.
A huge bonus... Downward dog is considered an inversion because your head is lower than your heart. Any inversion is a mood elevator which is known to put a smile on their face! 😊
