ATTENTION TO LOVERS OF FERAL
ATTENTION TO LOVERS OF FERAL RODENTS:
Rodents despoil fruit and other food crops. The animals also enter dwellings and nest there, resulting in threats to heaters, ducting, and diseases to occupants.
Remember the hanta virus.
( I am adding a note today 30 August, 2022. Two years of the Covid pandemic killed over a million Americans and millions more in the world. More will die. And these vermin could bring the next plague. Rats did bring the Black Death. )
The animals also gnaw through the insulation of wiring, resulting in fires and interrupted communications.
I use legal poisons in a very careful manner to eliminate the rodents without risk to dogs, cats, children, or the food crops in the area.
If you love rodents, keep your unnatural passions to yourself, in private.
Improvised Elimination Devices -- not available retail. I make these from Tomcat poison sold by Home Depot.

The package includes a dog-safe / child-safe container of black plastic. The brick of poison goes inside the container, an opening allows only a mouse to enter. Trash it, it's useless.
I paste the cardboard to the outside, then drill a hole through the center. The cardboard keeps the poison intact as squirrels or rats eat the brick. The zip tie will secure the poison to any branch or fence.
The devices remain in place until eaten by the squirrels and rats. This method avoids risk to dogs, cats, children.
The bright yellow cardboard helps me see what I E D's must be replaced. If the animals eat through one complete side of the poison, if the poison falls, I see the bright yellow remnant on earth, dispose of it.
Others use pellet guns or rifles to kill squirrels, rats, opossums on their property. I don't have a rifle with such a small, quiet caliber. So I do this.
And the glue? It's school glue. Non toxic. I don't want the squirrels getting sick before they die.
Always pick up the dead squirrels. Trash the bodies. Neighbors might get upset.
Evil man! Protecting his oranges and lemons and nispero! Evil!
