EJ Maltezo's passion for cars
EJ Maltezo's passion for cars started developing when he was in 3rd grade, when his dad built a 1986 Toyota pick-up. His dad taught him how to wrench and do oil changes, which is how EJ relieves stress today.
EJ enrolled at Universal Technical Institute (UTI), in the automotive technician, diesel technician and Ford Accelerated Credential Training (FACT) programs. Today, EJ works as a Toyota auto technician. He learned about the job at a UTI career fair.
EJ says at UTI, instructors were always willing to help. He's grateful for the opportunity to turn his dreams into reality as an auto professional today.
The curriculum at Universal Technical Institute is geared toward all students interested in joining today's automotive workforce. Enrolling in UTI does not require previous automotive experience. Our students span from having zero prior automotive knowledge to those who come from a family of mechanics looking to further their abilities.
