Boris Johnson Waves Kipper During Attack on ‘EU Bureaucrats’

Conservative leadership hopeful Boris Johnson surprised audiences during a hustings speech in London by brandishing a smoked kipper on stage.

Mr Johnson used the fish to hit out at EU regulations on food, claiming that regulations insisting “that each kipper must be accompanied by a plastic ice pillow” are damaging for business and the environment.
