Military honours for the inauguration
Military honours for the inauguration of the 17th Inspector General, General Carsten Breuer, in the Bendler Block (BMVg, Ministry of Defence). His predecessor, General Eberhard Zorn, was Inspector General of the German Armed Forces from April 19, 2018 to March 17, 2023 - i.e. almost 5 years (Militärische Ehren - Generalinspekteu...). The video first shows the list of guests, ministry employees, state secretaries, department heads, inspectors and other management personnel. Then an honorary battalion (symbolizing all 3 branches of the armed forces) of the guard battalion marches in. This is led by the commander of the guard battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Hans Domrich. Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and the new Inspector General then step onto the red podium. After the national anthem and the procession of honor, the new inspector general greets DoD senior officials and staff. It is played by the Bundeswehr Staff Music Corps under the direction of Lieutenant Colonel Kiauka.
