This is another version of
This is another version of revel bars made for ube lovers- the chewy oat layers with fudgy white chocolate topping make a truly irresistible treat that you cannot miss- plus they're not too sweet as well
RECIPE:
✅ OATMEAL COOKIE LAYER
100 grams ( 1/2 cup ) softened unsalted butter
160 grams ( 1 cup ) soft brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 large ( or 2 medium ) eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
150 grams ( 1 cup ) all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
145 grams ( 1 1/2 cups ) rolled or whole oats
✅ UBE FUDGE LAYER
150 grams ( 1/2 cup ) ube condensed milk ( i used Jersey brand )
150 grams ( 1 cup ) white chocolate, chopped
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
YIELD: 16 pcs , 2 x 2 inches square
BAKING PAN USED: 8 x 8 inches square, greased and lined with parchment paper
BAKING TIME: 40 -45 minutes
BAKING TEMPERATURE: 175'C or 350'F
OVEN USED: Convection electric oven, top and bottom heat
◾If you cannot find ube condensed milk, use the regular one and just add ube powder or ube flavoring
◾If you want to use real or bottled ube haleya, you may reduce the amount of sugar in the recipe
◾You may use instant oats if you can't find rolled or whole oats but there will be a slight difference in texture
◾You may also use white chocolate chips, white chocolate bars or compound chocolate
◾Remove the chocolate from the heat as soon as it has melted to prevent them from being burned; otherwise melt them in the microwave stirring at 30 seconds interval
◾DIFFERENT OVENS VARY IN TEMPERATURE SO PLEASE ADJUST ACCORDINGLY
