The following speech is a New Yorker confiding his troubled thoughts to his therapist.

I’ve been in therapy for years, and I feel safe in this office. For a therapist, you have a welcoming manner. My previous shrink made me feel like, I don’t know, something discarded, like a faded T-shirt.

I’ve been feeling overwhelmed. I want to sleep all day. My biggest fear is that I won’t be able to keep it together and I’ll crack up.

I can’t believe things have gotten this bad. I mean, I’ve always had issues, but now even my issues have issues of their own.

It’s not that I’ve failed at anything. I live my life with some sense of purpose. I just wish I wasn’t so confused. What do you think? How can I boost my confidence?

The handbook "Speak with a New York Accent" takes the exotic art of performing with dialects and delivers easy-to-follow lessons (including a longer list of those exceptional short A sounds). Break all barriers to learning the New York accent with this book, and at your next audition the casting directors will be scraping their jaws off the floor.
