There are many ways to make a tempeh. However, in Indonesia the process mostly includes a process of boiling, peeling, soaking, aciding, washing, inoculation using a yeast, packing, and fermentation.
In the early process of tempe making, the soy bean will be boiled. This step is functioning as a hidration process, so that the soy bean can absorb the water as much as possible. The boiling process also aim to soften the soy bean so that it can absorb the acid in the soaking process.

The complete recipe of Crispy Fried Tempe  in collabration with +BoysTalk is on below :

Ingredients :
1 board of tempeh
10 cloves of shallots
3 cloves of garlic
3 cayenne chili
2 lemongrass
1 bayleaf
3 cm of ginger
3 cm og galangal
1 tbsp of tamarind juice
3 tbsp of sweet soy sauce
5 g palm sugar

Steps:
1. Prepare one board of tempeh, slice thinly like a match
2. Heat the pan, add some cooking oil to deep fried the tempeh. Put the tempeh once it is hot enough.
3. Add a little of tamarind juice and stir, cook until it is crispy and set aside.
4. Crush the galangal, and chop the cayenne chilli, lemongrass, garlic and shallots and palm sugar
5. Heat the pan, add cooking oil to stir fry the previous ingredients.
6. Add bayleaf, the rest of tamarind juice, sweet soy sauce, and sugar. Stir.
7. Add a little water and cook until it thickens.
8. Put the fried tempeh, mix well.
9. Put into the plate then serve.
