Lumbar spinal stenosis is a lower back condition whereby either the spinal canal (central stenosis) or one or more of the vertebral foramina (foraminal stenosis) becomes narrowed.
Lumbar spinal stenosis is typically caused by degenerative arthritis.
Patients can develop low back pain as well as pain, weakness, and numbness or decreased sensation in the legs.
Surgery is recommended when other nonsurgical treatments have failed and for patients with increasing weakness of the legs or loss of bowel or bladder function. And these exercises will determine after 10 sessions if there is progress and improve posture in order to prevent Surgery . If you dont have MRI yet then see the doctor if you have a bowel and bladder dysfunction already. I utilized the Elastic band to progress, but if the elastic band is too difficult and this is your first time, i recommend do the beginner's PIaltes fundamentals first and try doing these gentle pilates without the band.
