How to set up a meeting in Outlook

Do you need to setup
Do you need to setup meetings via Outlook? If so, today I will run through the setup and different features.
Open up Outlook and go to the calendar section. From here you have a few different options.
The basic Outlook options include New Appointment and New Meeting.
The Meeting option is better designed for multiple attendees. It will give you an option for Required and Optional and you can also set a location and include any information in the field below.
You can also easily cancel the meeting and send a notification to everyone who was attending after it has been created.
To do this, go into your calendar and open up the entry. You should see an option to Cancel Meeting. Select this and then click Send Cancellation. This will ensure all users are notified of the cancellation.
The Appointment option is better suited for personal use. This works the same way but doesn't include the Required and Optional fields.
If you also have Microsoft Teams installed then you should have the Teams add-in which allows you to create Teams meetings.
Select New Teams Meeting and this will automatically fill in the invitation with a link, Meeting ID and a Passcode.
You can fill this in just as we did before and then send the invitation off. You can then join via the link in the email or go into your calendar through Teams as this will have a direct join button. You can also use the Meeting ID and Passcode by going to calendar within Teams and then Join with an ID at the top.
And that's it!
