2025 Honda Pilot TrailSport review // Get the V6 while you can?

This is a Motormouth couple car review of the 2025 Honda Pilot mid-size SUV. There aren’t a lot of changes for 2025 Honda Pilot, the US now adds the Black Edition model which Canada has for 2024. Honda is now offering the removable middle seat in the second row on more trims. You can store that seat in the cargo area which is a brilliant idea for those who want captain’s chairs one day and a bench seat the next.
The2025 Honda Pilot is powered by a 3.5L V6 with a 10-speed automatic transmission, 285 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. In Canada, standard AWD. In the US, FWD and AWD options are available.
The 2025 Honda Pilot is comfortable, spacious and offers tons of storage, it’s such a great family hauler. We’ve got the TrailSport model with an off-road tuned suspension, an inch more ground clearance, steel skid plates, smaller 18” wheels and all-terrain tires. It’s smooth and really eats up those imperfections in the road. The steering is very light making it easy to turn the wheel and manoeuvre this SUV in tighter spots.
The 2025 Honda Pilot comes standard with a 7” touchscreen with wired Apple Carplay and Android Auto, available 9” touchscreen which we have on our test model, it has wireless. The TrailSport has leatherette seats with orange stitching, driver seat memory heated second row captain’s chairs, a 9-speaker audio system, a wireless charger and a panoramic sunroof. The TrailSport is the only model that comes with captain’s chairs, all other trims have a bench seat.
In Canada, the 2025 Honda Pilot Sport starts at $55,486 CAD, EX-L $58,986 CAD, TrailSport $61,986 CAD, Touring $65,736 CAD and Black Edition $67,236 CAD. Pricing includes, freight, PDI and fees).
In the US, Sport $39,900 USD, EX-L $43,200 USD, TrailSport $49,100 USD, Touring $47,200 USD, Elite $52,780 USD and Black Edition $54,280 USD.
2025 Honda Pilot AWD fuel economy is 12.4L/100 km, 19 MPG city and 9.3L/100 km, 25 MPG highway. The Pilot AWD can tow 5,000 pounds. FWD models in the US 3500 pounds.
