An Iranian commander made a big claim about a boost in Iran’s defense amid rising tensions with Israel. Eight IDF soldiers were killed in a blast in southern Gaza’s Rafah which Israel had invaded on foot last month. The soldiers were killed inside a Namer armoured combat engineering vehicle (CEV) near the Tel Sultan neighbourhood in Rafah. The attack marked the deadliest incident for the IDF in six months. 21 soldiers were killed in an RPG blast in January in what has been the deadliest incident for the IDF amid the ongoing Gaza war.
