Nike Zoom Streak 7 - First Run

Today, I went for a first run in the Nike Zoom Streak 7, a long distance road racing shoe with a 10mm heel drop, Phylon in the midsole, zoom air in the heel, and a pebax shank. The combination of Phylon and a Pebax shank made for a surprising ride, with each step feeling very efficient. It's a sensation that's difficult to explain, as there's a bounce to this shoe, but it's very different than the bounce I feel in a Nike running shoe that has React foam. I don't know if I could run a marathon in these shoes (and I recognize that many people have run marathons in prior iterations of this shoe), I'd be very happy to wear this shoe for a half marathon or shorter.
