Hello dear viewers! Today I will show you how to grow green onions on the windowsill. For this, I take ordinary sevoc. I trim the tails so that the feathers can quickly and unhindered sprouts. You can also plant ordinary onions. For example, if you did not manage to use the bulb and it began to sprout, you do not need to throw it away - it can also be planted.
For planting, I take a container from a plastic bottle, more convenient if it is transparent (it is more convenient to control the degree of humidity and the development of the root system in it). I prefer to plant onions in the ground so that it picks up nutrients. I don’t feed anything and do not add anything to make everything natural.
I pour the soil about 1/3 of the capacity and gently plant the onions with the cut up, tight to each other. Lightly water with ordinary water and sprinkle on top with a small layer of soil so that moisture is retained and the onion does not float during the first watering. My soil is ordinary from the garden. We put it on the windowsill from the sunny side and from time to time, as necessary, water it. Literally in 2-3 days, green onions begin to sprout. To keep the onion feathers growing evenly, periodically rotate the pot 180 degrees.
In a week, good growth is already visible, but perhaps not yet uniform. Some feathers can succeed in growth, and some lag behind - it's not scary.
After another week, the green onion grows to the right size and can be consumed. If someone actively uses green onions, then just during this period you can plant another such pot and so on.
