Discrimination is a malignant action targeted against a specific group of people. Individual discrimination is any discrimination carried out by an individual. For example, a police officer pulling over people of one race more than other races. Next, institutional discrimination is any discrimination carried out against an individual or group by society and its institutions. For example, the Supreme Court decision upholding racial segregation in 1896, which was a large-scale act of discrimination.
