The LEGO Group has made a shift in the retirement schedule for several LEGO Star Wars sets that have released in the past twelve months. While previously these sets had been scheduled to retire by the end of 2024, they're now scheduled to remain on store shelves into 2025.
What this means in practice is that the sets will be commercially available for longer, so if any of these sets are on your Must Have list, you can rest assured that you've got more time before they start selling out forever.
As for what these longer shelf lives mean for LEGO Star Wars as a whole, especially going into the big 25th anniversary of the theme, remains to be seen, but LEGO Star Wars is likely being affected by several outside factors surrounding Disney+ and the lineup of shows that are coming (or not, as the case may be) in the near future.
