We are siblings who want to do versions of the foods we crave. We are not professional cooks but we love food. We check out food choices, cook, and give in to cravings. :) As they say, food is life. :)
INGREDIENTS:
10 Egg Yolks
1 cans Condensed Milk
250 ml Fresh Milk (Evaporated Milk)
1 teaspoons Vanilla
1/2 cup White Sugar (for caramel toppings)
PROCEDURES:
1. In a pan under medium heat, caramelize 1/2 cup of White Sugar
2. Once caramelized, pour some to the molders and let it set for a few minutes.
3. Separate the yolk from the egg whites.
4. Add 250 ml Fresh Milk (or Evaporated Milk)
5. Add 1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
6. Add 1 can of Condensed Milk
7. Stir slowly to avoid bubbles but making sure all the ingredients are well combined
8. Strain the mixture (2-3 times). This is to make sure you'll get a smooth flan
9. Transfer the strained mixture to your molder.
10. Steam for 30 to 40 minutes.
