Many entrepreneurs are using social media to reach new clients and strengthen their like-know-trust factor, but there are so many social media platforms, how do you focus? How do you choose the best platform that will give you the best ROI? In this video I’m focusing on Pinterest for marketing your organizing business and that’s because it’s so simple. All you have to do is be mindful with the way you label your Pinterest boards and organize your Pinterest pins. (How very Pin-teresting!) Pinterest is fun, but it’s also a helpful tool for professional organizers to put in their toolbox. Use Pinterest for business —as a solution to help solve clients’ problems you’ll just need to take a few minutes to be strategic, set goals, and develop tactics when Pinning; it’s time well spent.
Think of client related problems when pinning. For example, seasonal storage, cluttered closets, messy offices, or disorganized piles of paperwork. These are all normal challenges our clients deal with on a daily basis. Those everyday challenges present opportunities for you to pin some of your favorite organizing products and supplies. You can create a board for each client (Lucy Robinson’s Board) or a board for a specific challenge (How to Organize Recipes) or boards with favorite products (Best Products for Shoe Organization).
If you blog, pin your blog posts. If you record videos, pin your videos. Pinning is a terrific way to get visitors to your website. Chances are, once they are there, they'll explore some of your other content too —like testimonials or before and after photo galleries.
I wish Pinterest was around back in 2002 as I was getting ready to become a professional organizer because it would have helped simplify the marketing process.
